• Built to survive real abrasion and impact: A polyurethane elastomer backing with 500% elongation at break and 88 lb/in (1,540 N/100mm) tensile strength — far tougher than a standard vinyl protective film.
• UV and weather resistant: Formulated specifically to resist ultraviolet light, so it holds up on surfaces exposed to sun and outdoor weathering rather than yellowing or degrading.
• Clean, residue-free removal: Comes off without leaving adhesive residue, so it can protect a surface through fabrication, transit or service without damaging the finish underneath.
• Paintable when needed: Can be painted over per 3M's guidelines, useful where the protected surface needs to blend into a finished paint job.
• Handles real service temperatures: Rated to 82°C (180°F) maximum service temperature, holding up in demanding industrial and transport environments.

Step 1: Surface Preparation — Clean the surface of dust, oil and grease; ensure it is fully dry.

Step 2: Cut to Size — Measure and cut the tape to the required length and shape before application.

Step 3: Apply — Apply by hand, starting from one edge and smoothing outward to avoid trapped air.

Step 4: Apply Pressure — Press firmly along the full surface, using a roller on larger areas for even adhesion.

Step 5: Trim Edges — Trim any overhang cleanly for a neat, sealed edge that resists lifting.
