Price

₹39,000.00

3M Fire Barrier Sealant CP 25WB+ is a high-performance, ready-to-use, gun-grade, latex-based intumescent sealant. It dries to a monolithic firestop seal and also acts as a barrier to airborne sound. When exposed to fire it expands to at least three times its dried volume, helping hold the seal in place as plastic pipes and cable jackets burn away. Firestop tested for up to 4 hours in listed systems.

Why Choose 3M Fire Barrier Sealant CP 25WB+?

  • Up to 4 hours of firestop protection: Tested for up to 4 hours (ASTM E 814 / UL 1479 and CAN/ULC-S115) in listed through-penetration systems — the highest through-penetration rating among the 3M sealants on this page.
  • Intumescent: it grows when the fire arrives: Expands to at least three times its dried volume above 538°C, so the seal keeps closing as plastic pipes and cable jackets burn away.
  • Fire, smoke and sound: Helps control the spread of fire, smoke and noxious gases, and carries an STC 54 acoustic rating.
  • Clean, low-emission formula: Water-based, halogen-free and under 1 g/L VOC (less water and exempt solvents), so it suits occupied buildings and low-emission project requirements.
  • Re-enterable and paintable: Services can be added or removed later and the seal repaired, and the surface can be painted.

Applications

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Penetrations: Sealing metallic pipe, plastic pipe (excluding CPVC), conduit, power and communication cable, cable trays, busways, insulated pipe and HVAC duct penetrations.
  • Fire-Rated Floors and Walls: Penetrations through fire-rated floors, floor/ceilings and walls in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Static Construction Joints: Joint systems tested to ASTM E 1966 / UL 2079.
  • Blank Openings: Firestopping blank openings left in fire-rated assemblies.

How to Use

Step 1: Check the Listed System — Select the UL, Intertek or FM listed system for your wall or floor, penetrant and rating. It sets the sealant depth and backing material.

Step 2: Prepare the Surfaces — Clean the opening and penetrating items so they are dry and frost free, and install any backing material to the required depth.

Step 3: Apply — Install with a standard caulking gun or pneumatic pumping equipment, or work it in with a putty knife or trowel. Fill flush with the surface, or to the depth the listed system specifies.

Step 4: Tool Within 5 Minutes — Tool the sealant within five minutes and wash tools with water straight after use.

Step 5: Protect While It Dries — Tack-free in about 10 minutes, dry to touch in 30–60 minutes, about 3 mm (1/8 in) of depth per day. Keep rain and water spray off for 18 hours. Don't apply below 4°C.
