3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+
₹23,416.00
3M Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+ is an economical, one-component, gun-grade elastomeric sealant that dries to a flexible, monolithic firestop seal. It seals joints and through-penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors — around metal pipes, conduits and power and communication cables — and keeps a flexible seal in joints that move. Supplied in a 17 L bucket for volume jobs and a 600 ml cartridge for site work.

Why Choose 3M Fire Barrier Sealant FD 150+?
- Built for joints that move: ±19% movement capability means the seal flexes with expansion joints and thermal movement instead of cracking, which keeps the fire barrier continuous.
- Up to 3-hour penetration and 4-hour joint ratings: Firestop tested up to 3 hours for penetrations and up to 4 hours for fire-resistive joint systems, in listed systems.
- An economical choice for volume: Positioned as the cost-effective sealant in 3M's range, and available in a 17 L bucket for larger jobs.
- Quiet as well as safe: STC 56 acoustic rating helps limit sound transfer through sealed openings.
- Easy on site: Sag-resistant, water clean-up, paintable (test compatibility first), and re-enterable so services can be added or removed later.
Applications
- Through-Penetrations: Sealing metallic pipes, conduits, and power and communication cables passing through fire-rated walls and floors.
- Construction Joints: Sealing static and movement joints in fire-rated assemblies, including floor-to-wall and head-of-wall joints.
- Blank Openings: Closing off openings in fire-rated walls and floors.
- MEP Retrofit Work: Re-sealing openings after cables and pipes are added or removed — the sealant is re-enterable and repairable.
How to Use
Step 1: Check the Listed System — Select the UL, Intertek or FM listed system that matches your wall or floor, penetrant and rating. It specifies the sealant depth and any backing material.
Step 2: Prepare the Opening — Clean the surfaces so they are dry, free of dust and frost, and install the backing material (mineral wool or equivalent) to the depth the system requires.
Step 3: Apply — Cut the cartridge nozzle to the bead width you need and gun the sealant into the opening, or pump the bucket product. Fill to the depth the listed system requires.
Step 4: Tool Within 5 Minutes — Tool the sealant flush with the surface within five minutes and clean tools with water straight away.
Step 5: Let It Dry — Tack-free in about 10 minutes and dry to touch in 30–60 minutes. Full dry takes about 24 hours per 3 mm (1/8 in) of depth. Keep rain and water spray off for 18 hours.
