The 5930 tape is the perfect middle-ground solution in the VHB lineup. It provides the "Very Conformable" foam characteristics needed to absorb vibration and fill gaps between mismatched surfaces, but does so with a 30% reduction in thickness compared to standard VHB tapes. This makes it excellent for electronics, trim attachment, and signage where you want the strength of a mechanical fastener but the invisibility of a tape. Its modified acrylic adhesive creates a chemical bond that actually strengthens over time, resisting moisture, UV light, and solvents.

• Electronics & Displays: Bonding distinct components where a slim profile is critical (e.g., lens bonding).

• Powder Coated Metal: Attaching stiffeners or panels to painted surfaces without abrasion or priming.

• Automotive Trim: Securing exterior moldings and emblems with a gap-free finish.

• Signage: Bonding ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) or acrylic letters to frames.

• General Assembly: Replacing rivets in metal fabrication to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.

• Step 1: Surface Preparation Wipe both surfaces with a 50:50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and water. Ensure the surface is dry and free of oil or dust.

• Step 2: Application Apply the tape to the first surface without stretching it. Press down firmly with a roller or squeegee to ensure 100% surface contact.

• Step 3: Bonding Peel the red liner and align the second part carefully. Press the two parts together firmly.

• Step 4: Pressure & Cure Apply roughly 15 PSI of pressure for a few seconds. The bond reaches ~50% strength in 20 minutes, 90% in 24 hours, and 100% strength in 72 hours.
