Unlike simple cleaners, this is a solvent-based primer that leaves a polymer layer on the surface to lock in the adhesive. It is particularly essential for critical applications where failure is not an option—such as mounting exterior car trim or bonding heavy panels. • Step 1: Clean the Surface The surface must be clean and dry. Wipe it down with a 50:50 mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and water to remove oils.

• Step 2: Shake & Apply Shake the can well. Apply a thin, uniform coating to the bonding surface using a brush, swab, or felt tip. Do not over-apply; a thin layer is most effective.

• Step 3: Dry Allow the primer to dry thoroughly. This typically takes 5 minutes at room temperature. The surface will look slightly glossy when ready.

• Step 4: Tape Application Apply the 3M VHB tape or vinyl film onto the primed area and press firmly.
